Chris has been working as a software developer since 2012. He has utilised the full stack of technologies required to deliver robust and integrated business applications for clients in the Channel Islands.

Born and educated in Guernsey, Chris joined the Royal Navy at 16 and qualified as an engineer. Towards the end of a nine-year military career he re-trained as a Navy Diver. Then, as a civilian, he worked as a Commercial Diver for several years following.

In 1998 Chris entered higher education at Southampton University, achieving a BSc Honours degree in Chemistry with Mathematics. At university Chris developed an interest in coding and upon graduation found employment as a Java and Windows programmer in the Oil Exploration industry.

In 2004 Chris moved to a new role at the NHS in Oxford, working as a Radiotherapy Clinical Technologist. Building on this experience Chris went on to work for GE Healthcare as a Systems Integration Specialist, as part of the National Programme for IT, installing Radiology image network systems in UK hospitals.

In 2006 Chris returned to Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust in a managerial position, with operational and strategic responsibility for delivering the Radiology IT service throughout Oxfordshire.

In 2009 Chris returned home to Guernsey and worked in the Electronic Health and Social Care Record Programme for the States of Guernsey.

Fully self-employed since 2012, Chris has developed a special interest in designing and coding web-enabled applications to implement business rules.
