Given these source files

A 30 second mp4 video can be created with this command

ffmpeg -framerate 0.1 -i slide%d.jpg -c:v libx264 -r 30 -pix_fmt yuv420p my-slide-show.mp4

With -framerate 1 a 3 second video would be generated.
